Monogram and Lace Wedding Cake

Today we present a cake that's really special, as it was made for a family member - sister-in-law, Ayo. Congratulations to her and her husband! The last cake posted (Bible and Suitcase) was from their traditional wedding.

We loved making their wedding cake because of its romantic and vintage feel. Vintage is IN as you probably already know. The lace flowers details was a huge aspect of the romantic look, but our favorite item had to be the monogrammed plaque. It was a simple but lovely way to signify the couple's union - A + S. Doesn't it look like an authentic plaque you would have found in a treasure chest somewhere? Well, in our heads, we think so, lol.
