Cakesiena on Instagram

Hello everyone!

We are sooooooooo sorry for the long break. We focused on posting pictures on Instagram and neglected the blog. For that, we apologize and plan to do better this year.

For now though, take a look at some of the cakes we have featured on our IG page in the past few months. And if you have an account, please follow us :). Our username is CAKESIENA.

4-tier Wedding Cake with Roses and a Monogram

Two weeks ago, we were ecstatic to deliver this wedding cake to Ibadan. The bride found out about us online, and trusted us to bake her wedding cake via phone calls. We daresay we delivered and had a happy wedding couple!

4-tier Fusion Wedding Cake

We recently made a wedding cake for a lovely couple, and were honored to be chosen as the Cake Designers. This couple wanted a little bit of everything, and that's exactly what they got. There was draping, tiles (multicoloured), little flower shapes and more! We enjoyed putting this cake together and we wish the happy couple a wonderful marriage!

Monogram and Lace Wedding Cake

Today we present a cake that's really special, as it was made for a family member - sister-in-law, Ayo. Congratulations to her and her husband! The last cake posted (Bible and Suitcase) was from their traditional wedding.

We loved making their wedding cake because of its romantic and vintage feel. Vintage is IN as you probably already know. The lace flowers details was a huge aspect of the romantic look, but our favorite item had to be the monogrammed plaque. It was a simple but lovely way to signify the couple's union - A + S. Doesn't it look like an authentic plaque you would have found in a treasure chest somewhere? Well, in our heads, we think so, lol.

Bible and Suitcase Traditional Cake

We want to share a Bible and Suitcase themed traditional cake we made recently.

CAKE FACTORY TRIVIA: Bible-themed traditional cakes are popular in Nigeria, but do you know why? During the traditional wedding, the groom's family presents a stash of gifts to the bride and her family. Among the presents, is a Bible. The bride is supposed to select one gift from the stash, and that gift is the BIBLE. This is done to signify that she is building her relationship and marriage on God's word.
